📢 So you want to start a business?

Some advice, be realistic but with a side of miracle!

I jumped in head first. I did some research (not enough), I quit the job with no business plan, $30k in the my savings, put on my rose colored glasses and called myself a CEO.

If do overs existed, I wouldn’t do it this way again. Well, I’d keep the rose colored glasses on, 😆.

Do your research. I don’t mean rabbit hole kind of research, you know the kind where the goal is to talk you out of it. But the kind of research which activates creativity, critical thinking and acceptance of reality. Talk to veteran entrepreneurs, those who have closed their businesses and those still at it. Keep the full time job or save up enough to last you three- five years. Ask yourself what’s driving this goal, is it from a place of abundance or deficiency?

When I started my business, it stemmed from a place of frustration, escape and superficial financial gain. Whenever you make a decision from a deficit, hard lessons follow. Granted four years in, I’ve learned so much about myself- developed my business acumen and improved emotional intelligence, but it has its cost and reward.

Recognize owning and running a business is not for the faint at heart.

So you want to start a business? Keep it 💯with yourself.
